On a dj bike such as the barracuda hacker or magna have near enough the same ratio as a bmx for example a haro f5?

It's personal preference, but most dj's like to have something close to a 2.5:1 ratio. Track riders like it higher (harder), and park riders often do 2.5 or 2.0. For dj's, if you don't have a good drop-in to use as a run up to the first jump, then you might want a higher gear to help you get more speed. For someone in a skatepark, some tricks are easier to do with a lower gear.
To get your ratio, just divide the sprocket teeth by your rear cog teeth. 36 divided by 14 equals 2.57….or a 2.5:1 ratio.
Hope that helps some….and remember that you can always change your gearing to how you like it, no matter what kind of riding you're doing.
