Choosing a brand of bike is the same also, whether it's Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki or KTM. All manufacturers have their advantages and disadvantages over the other. Just keep in mind there's nothing that will affect performance, handling and reliability more than how you set your bike up, and how good of a rider you are. I've had friends on modified 250's and 450's get spanked by 8 year olds on 80's for that same reason.
So do some research and see which bike would suit your needs better. Once you buy your bike be sure to also get a repair manual for it and learn how everything works and how to properly set it up. You'll end up being safer, faster, and a better rider.
Good luck with your purchase.

so it was snowing out?

Thanks;

i had a honda dirt bike before but i wanna make a change which should i get

Im 14 turning 15 soon im about 5'9 145lbs. please help.

Thanks!

The reason behind it is that it is a 2 stroke and therefore has the power of about double that klx and twice the kick. The KLX is a non performance (non racing) trails bike designed more toward beginners.
I would highly suggest you stop off at a dealer to test drive both and compare them, you will see what I mean.
I had both a yz125 and a similar one (CRF150F) in the same situation. Dont make the same mistke I did.

I wish I didnt sold my 1980 KX125. That is fun bike.
and i have no experience whatsoever so it has to be sturdy and i was thinking around a 125 4 stroke.
i don't care about speed as much as dependability and i don't want to work on it.
i will also be jumping stuff but no more than 15 feet.
and last but not least i need it to bee $1000 or less.

I really like KTM, but Yamaha is a good company.
