I just bought a Loncin brand dirt bike on craigs list for $300.
It runs fine, and is fun as hell and worth the money as far as I can tell but I just want more info on it…

I may need parts in the future so I need to know this bikes details i.e. model, year etc…

The seller claims its 150cc..

ANY info is appreciated…thanks!

Engine size is stamped somewhere on the engine. A 150 bike is about 146cc but they just round up. The year and model should be on a tag thats on the frame's neck. Where the bearings are that hold the front forks to the frame.

Do a search for "Loncin forum" and you can usually find real world reports and links. From my reading I am led to believe that Loncin is a mid grade copy of the Honda motor but for 300$ it's a throw away bike anyway. Have fun.

I would stay with a Honda or a Suzuki, will you be racing, or just riding? if just riding, I would say a 125, but that all depends on your abilities with a bike. My friend races and hes a very small guy, he has a 125 he races with and a 250 he sometimes takes to race. Hes been riding for 5 years though. His 250 has a spring adjustment which makes it pretty low though. I would say 125 for racing starting out though. Just stay with Honda or Suzuki.
