If this is one of those chinese or korean companies, good luck finding parts for them. Parts are not readily available like the 5 major brands of bikes. I have told people on here time and time again, you get what you pay for….

I need a throttle cable ! can't seem to find out who makes the bike! i live in ky so the nearest parts house! any help would be appreciated! it's a 150 mx dirt bike- that's all it says!

There are many here today gone tomorrow dealers of Chinese scooters and motorcycles. Chances are they won't be in your phone book because by the time the new book is released the dealers usually have turned out the lights. Any store that you find that sells this junk should be able to get you the cable you need. Don't concern yourself with the brand because most of them are made by the same company so the parts are interchangeable. Advice…get it running and sell it.

They will some day, they are just getting started. Do you think Japanese bikes and cars were good to start off with? They were not called Jap Crap for nothing.

I have already had experience with a 200cc china dirt bike and I have my own track in my backyard. I prefer a 2 stroke instead of a 4 stroke. I was thinking about getting a cr250 or a KTM 250sx, but not sure. I want a bike that is reliable and doesn't have parts falling off all the time like my china bike. I plan on doing some trail riding also and won't be taking too many jumps.

I think that for trail riding you would do better with a 4 stroke. The crf250r is a good bike and would suit your height and weight well.
You are wise to steer away from the chinese bikes as they are really only for riding once then they fall apart and you need to replace them. It works out a bit expensive that way.

What Is A DOT (Department Of Transportation) Approved Dirt Bike?

Does this mean it can be registered, licensed, insured, and driven on roads? My bike is DOT approved but doesn't have any lights/blinkers/mirrors/horn. Are these required?

DOT approval for a dirt bike means that it is allowed into this country (if the chinese importer didnt lie to you) It passes emissions standards and has approved brakes and tires.
No it is not road legal.

I'd like to get some feedback on this bike, has anyone bought it and liked it or hated it? Are the no brand dirt bikes good bikes.

These bikes are total garbage! Seriously. I know a few people that have bought these Chinese made bikes just because they were cheep and after spending hours, sometimes days, trying to get them to run, the motors were junk in just a few rides.

Parts are completely unavailable. As in they don't even make any spare parts.

The 200cc bikes don't even have the power of a Honda XR100 that is half the size.

The Chinese bikes like these are inferior, but the biggest issue seems to be parts availability. Most of these manufacturers tend to have scooter parts available, but not motorcycle parts. So eventually it will be a "throw away" motorcycle…sorry.

Hey you might be interested to know Honda is coming out with a 230 enduro version for 2008 that is street legal! check out there official web site to see it .
When you say capability what are you referring to ?
Are you going to do free style ,motocross, trail riding or street.
The 230 is a very dependable bike ,one of Honda's oldest engine formats .they have been putting this motor in there stuff in some form or another for 30 plus years.thus the Chinese knock off bikes are trying to copy them due to the patents expiring on them ,though the Chinese ones don't have the same reliability as the Honda's do .
If you can be more specific with your intentions for the bike i can make a more precise recommendation.

Need Chinese Dirt Bike Ignition Key Switch Details?

I have a Chinese Dirt Bike named "terminator". This bike was manufactured in 2005. The key switch was broke when I bought the bike. It looks like it was ripped apart. The bike works when kickstarted. However when you try to use the electric starter, it does nothing. When you apply voltage directly to the electric starter (bypassing solenoid and all) it cranks the engine. I do not know if the switch has anything to do with this or not. I would think the bike's been modified to run without the key at all, but would like to know if anyone has any experience with these bikes electrical systems. I found a retailer online selling the key switch that has the same connector and color wires that my broke switch has (red, green, black, black/white) at this link: http://www.scooterpartsrus.com/4_stroke_electrical.htm
My item's description is "4 stroke ignition key switch #2".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You really should not wear loafers while riding.

Actually, you found the part. Almost any ignition switch like this will work.
Being a Chinese bike, you should not have to worry about it getting stolen.
