it wont start when the choke is off so i turn it on and it starts and after a while when the engine heats up i turn it off and it cuts out…..
i have to keep the choke on all hte time and it goes but very slowly!!

Strip the carb bowl off, remove the float assembly
where centre bolt attached bowl, inside that tube is the jet and emulsion tube
Carefully unscrew this jet and clean with compressed air or if your lucky your breath ??
Muck in the carb…. but they are not the best quality
I have bought several none runners off ebay and everyone its been a quick fix …. dirty carb
Try and put a small inline filter within the line …. I modified them with a longer hose to adapt them and had no problem
If the carbs mullered….. you can buy them off ebay for £11 + delivery
Oh….. have you checked the reed valve after the carb… ? sometimes these break or dont seal correctly ??
This might be the fault you have…. due to choke ??
I hate EBAY except for somethings.

i am 23 and weigh approx 70kg about 165cm.
I just need an idea about what to look for in a new/used bike and the approx price i would expect to pay as i dont want to be ripped off! haha im looking to spend up to $1000.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

Look for a bike that has not been raced, things like numbers and tons of performance parts are signs of bikes that may have been ridden hard. Take someone who knows a lot about bikes when you look for a bike.
A 2-stroke means that for every 2 stokes of the piston there is one power stroke, also they are much lighter and simpler than 4-strokes. A 4-stroke means that for every 4 strokes of the piston there is one power stroke. This is why the 125 2-strokes are in the same class as the 250 4-strokes. Also, 2-strokes have to have their gas premixed with oil, which is very simple.
You should be able to find a clean bike for 1,000 but it may take some time. Look for something with a clean frame, excess scuffs and scrapes are signs of a bike that has been ridden real hard.
lemme know if you need any more advise.
