Cant Find Insurance For A Dirt Bike, Ontario, Canada?

Hello

I have YZ250 Dirt Bike; it’s strictly a competition dirt bike. It has been designed to be only a off road vehicle by Yamaha.

I cannot find insurance for this bike,
I do have a off-road plate from the Ministry of Transportation.
Every insurance company I call says they don’t insure off road vehicles. I also do not have a motorcycle licence, which is not needed to ride a off-road bike.

Does anybody out there have insurance on a dirt bike in Ontario, Canada
If so who’s your insurance company?
Do you have a motorcycle License?

Try these companies they all sell atv insurance in Canada….Primmum , Monnex , TD Insurance in Nova Scotia, Statefarm , Portage la Prairie and Allstate.

Mini Dirt Bike In City?

I live in a small city with wide roads and open space. Is it a good idea to buy a mini dirt bike to go to my uni 3 km (on tar road) and also try some stunts in evening?

what bout the tires?

does it need a driving liscence (MINI dirt bike)?

i'm looking at it as a fun bike more and transport less.

Your mini-dirt bike is probably not legal to operate on public roadways, and may get you a couple of traffic tickets. If you want to ride a motor vehicle on public streets, buy one that's licensed for the street.

My brother is getting a dirt bike. He is 5 foot 6 inches and weighs 160 pounds. We are looking at purchasing this dirt bike:

First off, I was wondering if 100cc is powerful for a dirt bike. We are planning on using it at our cabin in Montana. We will be taking it on back country dirt roads and up steep hills. Will this be adequate? How fast will a bike like this go? Does it suit my brothers size?

I'm 5'4'' and ride a 200cc (just started) i already want more power…

i'd highly suggest NOT getting that bike…. wait around for something bigger within your price range if you have to… you will NOT be happy with that bike for long…. a few days at most…

and depending on the steepness and height of these hills, he may not even make it half way up the first one… couldn't really lean over the handlebars because then the tire wouldn't dig enough becuase of the size of the bike… to compensate he'd have to center most of his weight over the rear tire and that's a disaster waiting to happen.

I want to ride a mini Dirt bike in Hong Kong cause I'm too young to ride a real motorcycle but I don't know where I should buy the Mini Dirt Bike and its gear or where I should ride it can somebody help me?

In general these mini dirt bikes are not street legal. You should ask your local police to check out if it's legal to ride mini dirt bikes in your city.

What Dirt Bike Should I Get Next?

What size dirt bike should i get next a cr 125 , or a crf 230, or a 250 im 15 years old 125 pounds and i got a honda 100 xr right now

Like i said before get a 125
yz, cr, rm etc
i like the yz that i have
they are the fastest bikes in that class and they are made ready to race.
put some new pro circuit pipes on it and vForce reed valves and that thing will be a killer on the track
they are ALOT cheaper to fix and to maintain than 4 strokes.
the parts are really cheap too.
you could spend over 2000 on a blown up 4 stroke motor.
and less than 800 on a 2 stroke.
i would get the cr125 sice you want a honda these are great too my friend has one and they have awesome stock supension.

Is There A Such Thing As A Crossover Dirt Bike?

I have a suzuki and when i got it the guys like man is this baby sweet for jumps and the offroad and trail bikes cant go over jumps and my friend was telling me that my bike is a crossover? that it has the torque of a trail bike and the suspension of a racing bike so is there a such thing????

My Son Was Injured While Riding A Dirt Bike Belonging To Someone Else. Who’s Responsible For His Injuries.

From what I understand a friend of my son allowed my son to ride one of their family's dirt bikes, which resulted in my son having and accident and breaking 6 front teeth. My son is only 16 years old. The parents were apparently at work during the time the accident occured. The question I raise is do the parents have some type of responsibility in all of this. I would think that they are the actual owners of the bike. Shouldnt they be liable for decisions made by their children. Motorcycles are more dangerous then automobiles. My son doesnt have a license. I have over 4000.00 in medical bills to cap 6 front teeth and emergency room expenses. Anyone have and opinion. Thank you!!!

By the statement made by you as to the other parents being liable for their childs decisions.. wouldn't that go both ways? Should you not be responsible for your sons decision to ride the bike in the first place, as well?

I think it would be difficult to prove any type of neglect on the other parents since they were not home at the time of the accident. I think you will probably have to cover this one on your own though. Unless you can talk to the other family about a 50-50 payment.

My advice would be to contact a lawyer to find out for sure.
