On a public roadway ? Yes, you sure do…..with the proper endorsement. 150cc and lower (class "L")….151cc and higher (class "M"). It also needs registration & insurance. You are 13, so it will be a few yrs till you can even get a license…..I hope you have private property to ride on until then.
I dont know when to shift or If I'm supposed to hit the clutch or anything like that… Please help thanks…

Bicycles don't have clutches… so I'm guessing you should ask this in motorcycles…

It's desert bro. the whole place is dirt bikeable just explore and make your own place.
I was curious if the're any laws for riding a dirt bike like a motorcycle, and if you needed to have your motor cycle liscense for a dirt bike. I know, in the "country" it doesn't really matter but what if you want to ride it in the "city"?

I see people riding dirt bikes in the city all the time and they dont look like they're getting in trouble for it. Also, is there possibly some kind of tag i have to buy for it? Anyone who can send me some kind of article on it for the state of Maryland, i'm going to award "best answer" to. I am available for email.

Here is 2 links for u to look at. item 1: http://home.ama-cycle.org/amaccess/laws/result.asp?state=md

item 2: http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/poltmpl.asp?url=/content/pol/ask/sod/offroadvehs.asp

this is what i belive u were looking for.

I'm going to start out with this and then im going to go up to a 85cc motorcross.

This is "bicycling" but I'll have a go at answering;
there's not very much difference between 80 and 85 cc.

I would guess 75 MPH, but it has a lot to do with how much you weigh, and if there is an uphill.

I hope you are going to take good care of the bike, and not blow the gaskets inside the first week you own it.

There are Electric Bikes, as an alternative,

http://www.greenspeed.us

I've seen people interested in buying bikes, who see the electric bikes, and aren't interested because the e-bike doesn't make noise and smoke.

As I said , this is bicycling, which is a completely silent way of traveling.

I have been wondering this for years! I have a Insane 3 wheeler atc with a twin cylinder 2 stroke RD 350 (maybe 400 I forget) stretched frame and wide axle. also its a arm bar start. I know the motor is a Yamaha but the bike it self is not!
I heard that there was these company(s) back in the late 70 early 80s that put these out and every one wanted one supposedly these company (s) were making these better than Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki. but faded away in the early 80s? Does anyone no the name of these different company's??? I will feel kinda bad about using it for another project if its a true collectible. (put the motor in 1 of my mini YSR's haha)
need more details feel free to email me. Thanks!
Im hoping some of you older cats from the 70s 80s can chime in! thanks again

The AMA lists a lot of riding areas in WI
I'm not from around there so I don't know which ones are close to you.

http://www.amadirectlink.com/index.asp

On the left, go to – Off-Road
You have to be a member of the AMA to access that area of the site.
Everyone that owns a motorcycle, ATC, quad or scooter should be a member of the AMA

Where can I buy used dirt bike parts in NJ? I've tried calling all the local auto salvage places and no luck.
