What are the pro's and cons of each type of dirt bikes? like what are the subtle differences that make people prefer each brand between Honda, KTM, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha? for example i hear with honda you have to replace the valves a lot? just wondering what the differences are…
Dirt bikes

The valves are only an issue on the crf250r. A lot of the subtle difference are just that. SUBTLE. But MotorcycleUSA has some great reviews on youtube. Also magazines and websites like TransworldMX and Dirt Rider have great reviews. Pick a color. (Stay Japanese)
I was looking around at some 2-stroke dirt bikes and like everything about them except for the fact that you have to rebuild the engine about twice a year. Seeing how I have no experience with rebuilding motors id most likley bring it to a shop. How much on average would they charge to rebuild a basic top and botom end on a dirt bike?
Dirt bikes

Every shop is different and you would only have to rebuild the bike twise a year if you rode it all the time every day 4-6 times a week. If you raced it totaly different story every other race is usally a rebuild. I have an older 2 stroke I ride it about 3 times a week average and I rebuild the top end every winter. New top end is about $45-$65 for wiesco piston kit. Basically a shop is the same only they'd charge labor also. Some shops even pick up the bike and drop it off for no charge which is handy. You have to call around your local shops…expect to pay about $150 for them to do it. It's not hard to replace a top end, do it once and you'll pretty much know how it works. Hope this helps
Does anyone know if there are dirt bike trails in austria.
Dirt bikes

I would sure hope so. KTM bikes is the leading manufacturer of off road and trial motorcycles and is headquartered in Austria. One would think that they have a reason for being the number one.

There is also an annual international hill climb competition in Austria that draws crowds of thousands of people.

When I say AMERICAN MADE I mean American Brand. But the only one I Have heard of is Polaris but I heard that is no good. Please tell me a good American Brand dirt bike. No Honda or Yamaha.
