If you are serious about dirt bike racing etc……..ask the riders at a race meeting about their experience and go from there….If you just want a dirt bike for riding around local fields etc then take advice from the bike shop as you would not need anything special.

Honda CR 250 or Yamaha YZ 250. Normally I would say that a 250 would be too big for a 15yo, but you are a big boy with 8 years of experience. So a 250 should be OK. Go get one and show the other kids what you can do.
Please any1 just give me a estimate or something?

Yamaha TTR125, is perfect. Fast guys play around on them for fun, they are dependable, and a great all around bike. My 14 year old sister has one. The Honda CRF150F is also a great bike.
I want to get a little 50cc dirt bike but im not sure which one to get. i was looking at the suzuki drz70, yamaha ttr50 or the honda crf50. which one is a better and faster bike? i know the drz is a 70 cc but it is the same size as the 50cc. so which one is faster and just a better little dirt bike ???

With the information you gave us, I would recommend that you get a 2300cc Triumph Rocket III and take it slow for a couple of weeks until you get used to 140 horses and 140 ft lbs torque.
Not really.
It sounds like you might be a beginning rider. There are lots of clones from China these days. Cheap simple bikes from the 1970's. Good bikes to learn on, crash, bang into things and sell even cheaper when you step up to bigger and faster.(and more dangerous).
Are you ready for faster? A neat little honda 50 is a lot of fun to slide around in wet grass and dangerous enough for a beginner. You will probably out grow it quickly but there are lots of friends who will see you having fun and will probably want to buy it to learn on unless you let them ride. Just tell them you can't let them ride it because of liability issues and tell them that they can buy it.
If you like riding, go for the bigger stuff but always keep in mind, this is a dangerous sport and you can get killed if you don't understand the risks like wet leaves and gravel and greasy strips in the middle of the road in a light rain.
Good luck, have fun.
And why?

On new honda quads FMF performs the best also on 4 stroke dirt bikes.. Yamaha performs the best with white bros. e-series.
REMEMBER if you dont get the power kit in the carbs the pipes wont perform….
I have a 1982 yamaha xt200j and after restoring it i have ridden 189.5 miles since the last oil change…what is the approximate miles span between changes? im askin bcause its runnin a little odd…
by the way, this would be the first time the oil has been replaced in the bike since 1987…..189.5 miles ago

Oil degrades over time in the engine; with condensation acids form, etc. Even with not many miles, I would change the oil annually at least.
Hi, I'm a 14, almost 15, year old. I weigh about 105 pounds and I'm 5' 7, but growing a lot. I don't know what size and kind of dirt bike I should get. I was thinking 100 but I'm growing, and I also need a good beginner bike because I have never ridin one in my life. I have no clue what bike to get, and I'm kinda broke. What should I get?

I have an old '75 Honda MT250.

For 20 years it has been eating up hills, AND runing on the highway (although it IS close to redline at 70 mph).

Easy to fix, almost indestructable (couple of pegs have a new shape of their own choosing tho, and I tell myself that the headlamp looks better with that flat edge on one side.) and even comes with a built in spare spark plug when the hot one fouls.

On the downside, it smokes like a SOB for about 2 minutes when it first fires up and it only holds about a gallon of gas which gets me in trouble some times if I don't watch it.
